It seems that there is some kind of confusion among Samsung executives. One executive said that company had a plan to launch Galaxy S5 model at MWC 2014 a few days ago. Just now, ZDNet Korea reported that another executive (name is not known at this moment) said that you will see no Galaxy S5 at MWC 2014. Definitely, this new executive has contradicted the statement of first executive. There is a possibility that some changes have been happened in last few days.
According to unnamed Executive of Samsung, Galaxy S5 will be launched in March at New York Event. It is good to know that event of New York will not exclude the possibility of London Event; rumors suggest that Samsung will launch Galaxy S5 in March at London.
If you think that Samsung is not going to attend MWC then you might be wrong. Samsung will still there as it has a plan to showcase some amazing smartphones. You may hear about a Tizen device or Smartphone, so don’t miss this show as Samsung might be planning to surprise everybody there.
No matter when Samsung launch Galaxy S5, rumored specs of this Smartphone have started rolling online. According to insider tipster, Samsung Galaxy S5 will come with an iPhone-like-twist, you will be able to see both plastic and metal version of this successor of Galaxy S4.Price of metal version of Galaxy S5 will be more as it may have a markup of €150 over the €650 for the base plastic model.
There are two different chipsets that you may find in two models. One Galaxy S5 will be featured with new Snapdragon 805 chipset. However, second option will come with an octa-core Exynos 6 (Samsung’s own Exynos chipset). It is also expected that it would be a true octa-core SoC that will provide support ARMv8 64-bit standard.
There is a possibility that Exynos 6 chipset will be found under the hood of expensive metal Galaxy S5 while Snapdragon 805 will be packed with plastic mode. It is also in the rumors that Exynos chipset doesn’t have LTE support.
Galaxy S5 will come with a 5.25″ display in diagonal and this AMOLED display will boost up QHD resolution (2,560 x 1,440 pixels). A 16MP rear camera will be on the back while Smartphone will be running on latest Android 4.4 KiKat operating system.
Rumors of Galaxy S5 mini are also in the air. This mini Smartphone will be running on Android 4.4 and pack with a Super AMOLED display. Galaxy Zoom successor will be named as Galaxy S5 Zoom and this device will be launching in May, according to rumor mills.
